Grande Reserve Naoussa Boutari 2011

Grande Reserve Naoussa Boutari is a wine with more than 40 years of presence on the market; and each year it conveys its finest characteristics in the best way. In areas like Naoussa, where the Xinomavro variety is significantly affected by yearly climate conditions, variations among vintages are often large.

The  2011 vintage, however, has already stood out during initial testing receiving a high score of 92 points by the renowned wine critic Mark Squires of the Wine Αdvocate-Robert Parker. Subsequently, it was also awarded the Grand Gold Medal at the International Wine and Spirits Competition in Thessaloniki, positioning it at the top of red wines for 2017.

Grande Reserve Naoussa Boutari is not yet another aged Xinomavro; it is a legendary wine confirmed in every one of its vintages by the numerous international reviews received between 1994 and now. At the New York Wine Experience Grand Tasting last year, it received the Wine Spectators Critics’ Award, as it stood out as the only Greek red wine among 250 emblematic wines from around the world.

Given the higher quality level output of the exceptional 2011 vintage, it reaches the market at a higher price, whilst a normal 2012 vintage is still available at its current price. Two years of the timeless Grande Reserve Naoussa Boutari label with visible differences in characteristics, packaging and price.
