Boutari Wineries supported for the second year the “Golden Caps”, the leading gastronomy event, during which the guests had the opportunity to enjoy the winery’s new wine labels.
The “Golden Hoods” award ceremony at the Athenaum InterContinental on Monday 8 April, highlighted the brilliance and excellence of the gastronomic scene. The highly aesthetic dishes presented a combined delight of authentic flavours, demonstrating the undeniable link between fine gastronomy and the refined aesthetics of wine. In a glamorous event with taste as the protagonist, the attendees had the opportunity to enjoy the special new proposals of Boutaris wineries in an official first and specifically the new single-vineyard wines, Malagouzia, Assyrtiko and Vidiano. This new range of wines from Greek varieties marks the new era of Boutaris, focusing on the production and marketing of special varieties and “fresh” labels that promote Greek winemaking in Greece and abroad.
The evening of the Golden Hoods started with a special and warm welcome with a glass of “The Very Complex” Assyrtiko Boutaris. The wine’s rich palette of flavors pleasantly colored the beginning of the event, while its refined notes unraveled a story of taste rich in aromas and sensations. The baton of the dinner was passed to the renewed Sauvignon Blanc, with intense and rich aromas, “The Finetsati” Malagouzia Boutari, a refined variety that proves its value with its ability to harmoniously accompany every taste, and the Muscovy Cuvée Speciale produced from selected grapes aged 50 years, Kallistis Reserve, which is the top version of the Assyrtiko variety in barrel, and the Red Letter, a unique new blend of Merlot & Syrah from the region of Macedonia, which with its rich, deep ruby red colour, completed the culinary experience with a sense of fullness and pleasure.
A harmonious symphony of wine and taste where the attendees had the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable experience that combined the excellence of Greek wines with the masterpieces of gastronomy.
